I hate to say it, but that part takes like 5 minutes to get to and remove. I've done it. You should learn to do car work yourself and you'll save yourself probably fitty-grand over your lifetime.
I figure I've saved a crap load of money from being able to fix computers. Just this morning I was telling someone how I wish I could also fix cars and save that cash too.
Realize also though that $90 of that was the charge for them to run the diagnostic and $40 of that is for the parts themselves (which I'm sure is an inflated cost).
Plus, in theory you could say that about almost anything...
if I was better at plumbing... fixing computers... making art... fixing cars... cooking "food"... writing blogs... building a bike from scratch... etc etc etc
...you could make/save tons of money! There's only so much one can do with their free time (although you probably don't need to subscribe to that theory too much, Joel, Master of Time & Skill!).
i like the saturn dealership, too! they are always super friendly and helpful.
ReplyDeleteFYI If your become Saturn of Ann Arbor's friend on facebook, I hear you get a coupon for a $5 oil change.
